Marge McLaughlin

My artistic journey has been shaped by years of study, workshops, and mentorship. Along the way, I discovered that artistic growth isn’t about waiting for inspiration or striving for perfection—it’s about learning to see more clearly, showing up consistently, and trusting that small, steady efforts lead to meaningful progress.

I work across a range of media, including watercolor, gouache, oil painting, charcoal, graphite, and ink, and I teach drawing and watercolor through in-person workshops and classes to help others build confidence, quiet self-doubt, and create an art practice that fits real life.

My first book, Your Art Practice: A Lifetime Rhythm for Artistic Growth and Creative Joy, explores how a sustainable creative practice can bring both growth and lasting satisfaction.

Whether through a painting, a class, or my writing, my hope is to encourage others to slow down, look more closely, and discover the creative possibilities that are already all around them.
